Overview


TAGGING & MARKING:
When we pack for you, either as a full packing service or partial packing, we will mark each box with the appropriate information as to room, location, and general contents. For moves going Long Distance and/or into storage, we will also perform a full tagging service, which entails our foreman assigning a specific Inventory Lot Number and Color to your shipment, and then adhering stickers with that information to each item in your shipment. Each sticker has a distinct item number, which corresponds with the detailed Inventory List that will also be prepared by the foreman at the time of loading. This will allow both our staff and yourself to check off each item as it is being unloaded/delivered, to ensure that all items are accounted for at each step of your relocation.

 
INVENTORY SERVICE:
As explained in the above section, our foreman will create a fully itemized Inventory List on special forms, that will assign a specific number to each item you are shipping. We will also describe the item or box size, whether packed by you or the movers, and the condition of the item at pick-up. This will help you to make sure that all items are returned to you in the same amount and condition as when they were picked up. This service is performed as part of your professional move, and is for shipments going into storage or being transported long distance.

PROTECTION OF FURNITURE:
Our crews are experts at properly protecting your furniture and delicate items for safe transport. It is always best to have our professional crews wrap/pack items that are unusually shaped, particularly fragile, or of great significance to you. The reasonable cost you spend having these items professionally packed will pale in comparison to the peace of mind you will have that these items will be secure during shipment. Wood furniture is wrapped securely in blankets and packing tape, while glass, mirrors, and pictures are placed into special picture boxes with padding. Clothing, linens, and miscellaneous items are packed in various specially sized professional-strength  moving cartons with appropriate protective padding materials. Upholstered items are wrapped in blankets and/or plastic seal to ensure that they do not get dirty or torn during transit. Finally, should you have a particularly delicate or valuable item, please contact our Sales Team for information on specialty crating services (ex. Pool tables, chandeliers, sculptures, statues, etc.)

DISMANTLING & REASSEMBLING:
The movers will dismantle and disassemble all items as needed, prior to loading. This will ensure that your items are not weakened during transport, and allow the truck to be packed as efficiently and securely as possible. At delivery, all items that were disassembled by the movers at pick-up, will be reassembled as well.
 
CRATING & UNCRATING:
This is a special service provided for our clients who are moving high-end, delicate, or particularly fragile items such as chandeliers, large mirrors, slate pool tables, grandfather clocks, special collections, etc. Measurements of the item(s) are taken, and a professional carpenter builds a custom-crate for the item being moved. The crew then packs the item in this specialty crate, to ensure that it is fully protected during shipment. Our delivery crew will uncrate such items before leaving your destination. As these crates are custom built, the cost for this servic varies, therefore we ask that you contact our Sales Team for further information/assistance.

BUILDING PROTECTION
Protecting your home or building at both pick-up and delivery is important during a move. That’s why we offer runners, masonite, and other protective services when needed. As these are specialty services, they should be ordered in advance through our Sales Team.
